‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: Michael Weatherly’s Tony and a stray cat
Could Agent DiNozzo become a responsible pet owner? We’re not sure why this element of the “NCIS” synopsis below catches our attention more than anything else, it still does … and hopefully it will be a fun diversion from what sounds like it could be a pretty emotional episode of the show in “The Searchers.”
Rather than spending to much time speculating on Tony adopting a cat, just take a look at the aforementioned synopsis now:
“After investigating the murder of a retired Master Sergeant, the NCIS team uncovers a fraudulent charity that preys on those searching for missing military personnel. Meanwhile, Bishop agonizes over the results of her probation evaluation, and Tony contemplates adopting a stray cat that followed him home.”
In looking at this episode as a whole, the fake charity is probably going to be the most heartbreaking, given that there is nothing worse than seeing someone take advantage of those who are dealing with great loss within their family. As for the Bishop story, we cannot really see there being a whole lot of drama in it, thanks mostly for the fact that it seems obvious that she’ll pass the exam. Ultimately, how could she really not and still be a part of the team in the end? We see the scare during “The San Dominick” as really just that: A scare, and not a whole lot else in the end.

The lesson Bishop needs to learn is that she is still wet behind the ears when it comes to the practical field agent stuff. She may have an analytical brain which works well in the office when dealing with data on a computer etc. but being out in the field is a completely different game altogether. She knows that she is good analyst but is frustrated with all the mistakes she has been making as a field agent.

The formula dictates that Gibbs will save the day and McGee will either be put in danger or make some major contribution to the case while Tony “comically” considers adopting a cat. If makes the decision to do this the cat will no doubt comically reject him so that we can see once again what a loser Tony has become. Do we all love McGee more yet?

LOL! It won’t be good that’s for sure. A few years ago I had a neighbour’s cat literally sneak in through my open front door while I was unloading groceries. When I came in I found the cat perched on the edge of the goldfish tank that was on the dining room buffet cabinet, paw extended ready to scoop a sushi snack for himself. Needless to say he was shooed out in a hurry. I still laugh at his cheekiness.

I think they should let the cat join the show via Tony and let Bishop decide after a poor evaluation that she wants to go back to the NSA and Jake. Okay enough cattiness ;-).
