‘Ink Master: Rivals’ season 5, episode 9 podcast: Jessa, Bart on Julia Carlson, Joshua Hibbard

Ink MasterIf you want to be stressed out then the place for you to be is on “Ink Master: Rivals”. We’ve seen some powerful, strong artists fall under the pressures that this environment can cause and this week one of our favorite artists really battled with this: Jason Clay Dunn.

On this week’s “Ink Master: Rivals” podcast, CarterMatt co-owner Jessa and her faithful co-host Bart will be discussing the stresses that come along with not only being on reality TV, but also being in a competition and living with your competitors. Jason had a lot of anxiety in season 3 – is the pressure going to be his own undoing in season 5?

Also we will be talking about the Joshua/Julia pairing in the interlocking elimination tattoos. Emily suggested that Joshua picked a style that he knew well and that Julia didn’t know at all on purpose to send her home (and she did go home), but Joshua denies that was the intent. We found it ironic that Emily would suggest that Joshua tried to screw over another artist (and in turn a client) since this is something that Emily openly admitted to doing just a few weeks ago to Angel.

Aaron Is will also be a topic of discussion for one major reason: When the judges talked to him about the mistakes in his tattoo he claimed that he made those mistakes to mimic Emily’s tattoo so they would match up which is easily the most ridiculous excuse we’ve ever heard on any competition show ever.
