‘South Park’ releases full version of Lorde parody song ‘Push’

There are a few signs that you have truly “made it” in the entertainment business, and to us, one of them is being ruthlessly mocked on an episode of “South Park.” After all, if you are not important by any measure of they imagination, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are going to leave you alone.

Well, earlier this season pop star Lorde became in the crosshairs for a bizarre but funny tale about how she is secretly the father of Stan Marsh. We don’t exactly know how the team comes up with some of these ideas, but they do.

Anyhow, the show managed to rope in big-name singer Sia to help out with the parody, and the recent song “Push (Feeling Good on a Wednesday).” It was a little bit of random narcissism mixed with a few melodies that to a certain extent sound like something that would be on a Lorde album.

Well, Comedy Central has released the full version of the song below, just in case you have a real clamoring to sit around screaming “I am Lorde” to yourself. It’s still funny, but we wouldn’t recommend listening to them more than a few times. You may legitimately go insane.

The good thing is that Lorde seems to be in on the joke, judging from some of the Twitter messages that she put out there after the show aired the episodes:

“i have officially been the subject of 2 south park episodes and that is weird and cool … i don’t actually watch south park but from what i can tell sia was involved and someone’s mum said something really nice about me.. score!”

Also, she even sang a little bit of the melody in a video from a local New Zealand TV station. Double score!
