‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 5 video: Megan Boone’s Liz takes on a virus
Is next week’s “The Blacklist” even more eerie thanks to the frequent Ebola scares going on right now? It’s possible, but we have a hard time imagining that the story behind “The Front” was inspired in any way directly by those headlines.
This is a case instead that seems to be in some ways a combination of some chemical-warfare specialist, and then Dr. Linus Creel from this past week. Our Blacklister here has managed to convince a group of people to spread what is the world’s deadliest virus around the world, and it can kill so quickly that it almost completely prevents and and all opportunities to do something to stop it.
Suffice it to say, Megan Boone’s Liz is going to have her hands full trying to stop this one in time.
As for the other portion of this upcoming story, Reddington is going to be on then ever before in an effort to try to resolve the Jennifer mystery. She is the only person that he seems to care about more than Naomi or Liz, which is interesting given that we’re not even 120% sure that she is his daughter. After all, Naomi continually referred to her as “her Jennifer” during her appearances on the show so far this season.
The only thing that we can really hope for by the end of this episode is some further information and maybe some answers to go along with it. After all, that’s what we hope for almost every episode … and maybe a little bit of Tom Keen to go along with it. This is a guy who has been sorely lacking as far as a good cameo goes so far.
