‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 5 preview: Mark Harmon vs. pirates in ‘The San Dominick’

Do you enjoy it when the team at “NCIS” actually get in the water a little bit? Then you are probably going to enjoy the new episode airing next week entitled “The San Dominick.” The name of the game here is going to be back with the Coast Guard, and that includes the return of Diane Neal as CGIS’ own Agent Borin. We’ve always wondered if this was ever going to be a spin-off show, but we presume that they would have made it by now if they were hoping to.

So in addition to going out at sea, Mark Harmon and company are also going to be a little bit in the “Captain Phillips” vein. After all, there is also an abduction with pirates at the center of the tale!

“During a joint Coast Guard and NCIS training exercise at sea, Gibbs and CGIS Agent Borin spot a deceased man overboard, who is discovered to be a missing crew member from a ship 60 nautical miles away. Upon boarding the ship for questioning, Gibbs finds himself on a vessel that has been commandeered by pirates.”

Mostly, we hope during this episode that above all else, there are some twists, and not the same old villains that we’ve encountered the past few weeks. Also, cool off the Tony flirting for a week or two. There only so much you can go in that direction.
