ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 4 preview: How Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe take on ‘Meteor’

The first three episodes of “Revenge” season 4 have been about starting up a battle, and it is one that you likely saw coming the moment the premiere ended: Emily versus Victoria all over the again. With that being said, it is still fair to say that the circumstances here are more than a little bit different.

“Meteor” is the title of the next episode, which does seem appropriate given that a meteor has basically struck Emily’s world and changed her life forever. So is she going to be able to survive? That may be possible, but whether or not she will suffer is an entirely different story.

You can take out the official synopsis right now, at least in terms of what to expect, courtesy of ABC:

“Emily is shaken to her core by an unexpected revelation as Victoria sinks her claws deeper into David.”

We actually haven’t seen the moment yet where Emily realizes once and for all that David is alive, but as the short promo for this episode gives away, that huge moment is coming … and it may have your jaw on the ground by the end of it. The question we have for now is this: How in the world do you make this story feel as remarkable as it should? There has been so much buildup to this over the years, almost to the point where there is no way the story can live up to the hype.

We’ll just have to see if Emily can turn this tricky situation around.
