‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 spoilers: Norman Reedus on Daryl, Carol reunion

The latest -With the return of “The Walking Dead” on Sunday night, doesn’t now feel like as good of a time as any to talk about two of the show’s most popular characters in Carol and Daryl. Some want them together romantically, while others just want to continue to see them as friends.

Regardless, you can at least be relieved that these two will spend some time together again this season, which should come as a relief given that Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride really did not have a whole lot of time to spend together at all during season 4.

When speaking on what you can expect from these characters moving forward, Reedus explained to Entertainment Weekly that the two characters have changed, but at the same time, there is a certain comfort that comes from the actors getting to work together again:

“There’s a certain familiarity with those two characters and there’s a certain yin-and-yang element to them, [laughs] which flip-flops every 5 minutes. Sort of like me and Melissa, to be honest. I mean, I love Melissa, she’s fun to work with. And at the same time we’ll scream at each other — I mean, as soon as the camera stops rolling, we’ll start yelling at each other, and then we’ll be back to normal like in two seconds. It’s a very tight bond those two have. There’s a mutual respect for each other. Carol’s a different person now. Daryl sort of leaned on Carol at times and I think Carol sort of leans on Daryl at times. A very interesting partnership right there.”

Ultimately, we are not quite sure if there is a better, more dynamic pair on the show than these two, mostly because they bond together in spite of their differences and come from such different walks of life. For those hoping for romance, though, know that there are no plans to get Daryl attached to anyone this year.
