‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Sophia Bush’s ‘Chicken, Dynamite, Chainsaw’ challenge

We will say this right now when it comes to “Chicago PD” and episode titles: The name for the new episode on NBC next week is definitely unusual: “Chicken, Dynamite, Chainsaw.” We don’t quite know what to make of that right now, but we do know that the team is going to take on a series of very intense cases.

So what are we talking about specifically? We have a case of missing persons, an interrogation that is likely different than most others, and Roman and Burgess getting themselves in some hot water. The synopsis below should give you some further details in terms of what to expect:

“Two teenage girls have gone missing and the team know the clock is ticking to find them. Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), Antonio (Jon Seda) and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) investigate a tenement which gives them a much needed lead. Voight (Jason Beghe) brings the father of one of the girls to district in order to get some honest answers. Meanwhile, Platt (Amy Morton) puts Roman (Brian Geraghty) and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) on gun buy-back duty where they ask questions when they aren’t supposed to.”

We hope that this is an episode that introduces some new story threads, or at least builds up on something that will be a little exciting. October is a rough time for many procedurals, given that you get the feeling that most of the best stuff is being saved for sweeps, and you’re just stuck sitting and waiting for the next big thing instead of a great case now.
