‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 2 spoilers: How ‘Sara’ will address Caity Lotz situation

More news -We’ll obviously start this article off right now with a warning: If you have not seen Wednesday night’s season 3 premiere of “Arrow” just yet, then you should really stop reading right now. Otherwise, you run the risk of getting almost anything and everything spoiled for you.

Still here? Well then, let’s dive into the death of the Sara Lance character. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Marc Guggenheim noted that it was “incredibly hard” to say goodbye to a character that entered this season with such a high level of popularity behind her. However, this was also important when it comes to setting the stage for everything that can come next:

“[The] story implications for this development are so far-reaching for the show and affect all of the characters … [It] will drive us for at least the first half of the year. It will set Laurel on a trajectory that she’s never had before on the show. It will create all these other complications and dynamics that I can’t talk about because it would spoil stuff. It buys us a lot of story, and it speaks to all the things that we wanted to do this year in terms of Laurel’s character, in terms of Oliver’s character, in terms of Felicity’s character.”

As for the future of Oliver and Felicity, let’s just say that we would not count them over just yet. The line between the two near the end of this episode is enough to make us think that there is hope here, even if Oliver for now thinks that he cannot have a normal life.
