‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: What are the current season 11 odds?

Even though we are just a pair of episodes into “Bones” season 10 at the moment, it is apparently never too early to start speculating over the show’s future.

So will there be a season 11? While it may be early, some of the powers that be still seem relatively optimistic on the odds. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, executive producer Stephen Nathan explained some of the complicated politics that weigh into this decision, and also why it may take a while for a renewal to be announced:

“I think it might take a little bit of time because there are [actor] renegotiations involved … If everybody keeps watching as much as they have been — and on the most difficult night on television — then I am sure we will be back. It’s something that we’re anticipating and hope for. It doesn’t seem as if the show is slowing down.”

The biggest reason to feel okay about the future of “Bones” right now is simple: The actors all make good money, and it’s not like Fox has a lot of other solid performers right now. With “Sleepy Hollow” falling in the ratings, “Gotham” is really the only show that draws consistently better ratings on their Monday-Friday schedule. Sundays are a little hard to gauge still, given that football overruns and other factors often play a role in how they pan out for the most part.

So long as the cast and crew continue to want to be around as these characters, we feel like there is no reason to question whether Booth and Brennan are going to stick around on the air.
