‘Dancing with the Stars’ 19 results: Was Betsey Johnson, Tommy Chong, or Michael Waltrip eliminated?

Tonight, “Dancing with the Stars” went with an interesting theme in “the most important year of your life,” but tonight, this was going to be a not-so-memorable night for one of the pros.

Even before the show, we were worried about Jonathan Bennett and really most of the other guys this season. It feels like the men are largely forgettable this time around, save for maybe Tommy Chong for being awesome in his own bizarre way.

During the show, we found out that it was actually the three in the title (Tommy, Betsey Johnson, and Michael Waltrip) who were in danger. We feel like of this group, Michael is the one who really should leave. He’s a fun guy, but it feels like he’s really had his chance at this point to show who he is. He’s not a good dancer, and probably never will be. At least Tommy and Betsey have shown some flashes of doing something, and despite their age, they may still have some life in the competition … pending that they stick around.

We’re sad about the ultimate result tonight, which was losing Betsey from the competition. We knew she wasn’t going to win, but she was fun! Plus, we saw so much from her over the course of the season, and feel like she could have really given us so much personal growth in between now and the finale. Tony’s also a pleasure to see most of the time, and we have a tendency to see him go home early because of who the show gives him as partners. He has won once, but still it’s sad.
