‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: See Oliver, Felicity in first photo from ‘Sara’

While Wednesday night’s new “Arrow” episode “The Calm” will mark the beginning of the story ahead, why not take a minute to tease what lies beyond that? We are of course referring to “Sara,” the second episode that is going to air.

Despite the fact that the episode is named after Sara Lance, the strange thing about the images released by The CW is that almost all of them are largely Olivier / Felicity-centric, including the one that we have attached here. Are the two close? Sure, but it doesn’t look like Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards’ characters are necessarily moving in for a kiss. Things seem tense, and given that Oliver is in costume, maybe he is getting ready to head out and resume some of his crime-fighting ways.

This episode will surely feature Sara Lance eventually, but we know that there is also going to be quite a bit of Oliver in the past, as well. (Spoilers ahead!) As The CW showed in the episode’s official synopsis, this is the hour where Tommy Merlyn is going to return in flashbacks. Oliver will be put in a position where he could take him out, but given that Tommy is alive during season 1, he either decides not to, or the mission is pulled in the end.

Overall, this sounds like an exciting episode, but we suspect that there are plenty of twists and turns along the way.
