‘Ink Master: Rivals’ season 5, episode 6 podcast: Jessa, Bart talk Angel Bauta, Aaron Is and Chris Nunez

Ink MasterThis season of “Ink Master: Rivals” has been pretty crazy. We’ve seen some huge blow out fights, new rivalries emerge, Emily Elegado fighting everyone and now Angel Bauta.

On today’s “Ink Master: Rivals” podcast , CarterMatt co-founder Jessa Carter and art/tattoo expert Bart, are going to be looking at Angel’s blow up – but let us preference this by saying that we absolutely love Angel. We think he is a complete badass that has shown us some fantastic tattoos, and has been the one person in this competition that seems to be here for the thrill of competing more then anything else (although we are sure he wants the money and magazine spread as well).

We will also be chatting about the fact that we had no flash challenge this week and instead we saw a 12 hour tattoo (broken into two, six hour pieces). Aaron Is decided not to do his first 6 hour piece due to a tooth infection saying that he feels he would have given his canvas a bad tattoo… should he have been penalized for this decision or rewarded for being a tattoo artist who cares about his work and the client?

The judges had the skull picks this week and we were happy to see that they weren’t out to screw anyone over, but instead gave them each a tattoo that they felt could handle and also still challenged them to show the judges something new or redeem themselves from a mistake they’ve made earlier in the competition (like Emily’s octopus or Robbie’s new school pirate).

You can also expect some discussion over Emily trying to screw Angel over with her design, her being in the bottom with both of her tattoos and Chris Nunez calling her out to her face saying that he wanted to send her home over Robbie.
