‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: Will any other major characters die?

At the moment, the “Bones” fandom is understandably sad, and that comes with losing someone who they consider to be a huge part of the show. It’s going to be extremely hard, pretty much impossible, to replace a guy like Lance Sweets. He brought warmth to the team, and while he is no longer with the characters, he was at least able to leave some sort of legacy behind with Daisy in the form of the pair’s unborn child.

So are we going to see another tragedy on this level before season 10 is over? It’s something that you would understandably be worried about, but executive producer Stephen Nathan has a message: Don’t be. He tells Zap2It in a new interview that the only characters who will be dying this season are either really bad people, or the victims in specific cases.

As for the period of mourning that viewers and characters are going through right now, Nathan had the following to say to give hope to the rest of the story ahead:

“These characters ebb and flow, relationships ebb and flow, surprises pop up when we least expect them and that’s what life is like. If life were predictable and everybody knew what was going to happen and shielded themselves from those painful moments it would be a sad life … It’s out of tragedy that great things come and it’s out of great joy that we experience the pain of loss and sorrow. All I can say is this is what makes the show still feel alive ten years later.”

Eventually, the show will get back to its fun tone, and doing some of what it does best in solve cases. With that being said, we can understand if you feel like things will never be the same again.
