‘The Amazing Race 25’ episode 2 preview: Bethany Hamilton and the great pancake race

Sometimes, there are times when we dread and roll our eyes at reality TV shows who desperately try to cast famous people in order to get their ratings up. With that being said, we really can’t do that with Bethany Hamilton and her husband Adam on “The Amazing Race 25.” She’s got a great story, sure, but she also has so much positivity it’s almost impossible to root against her.

Even in the preview video below, Bethany seems to be rocking out a difficult challenge, and as a matter of fact, it may be one that she has a slight advantage in. It involves flipping pancakes in pans while running (we can’t make this up), and it looks like it is required that you can only use one hand to hold the pan. She’s had a lot more experience when it comes to only using one arm to do things, and that experience with her center of gravity could be an asset.

With that being said, we have little reason to doubt she was going to be in danger in the first place. She and Adam are bringing so much right now to the table, we cannot imagine them going out in the next few weeks. They are strong, athletic, will probably not be targeted for a U-Turn, and seem to have a supportive relationship. Some other couples go on this show, and spend the majority of the time trying to keep from screaming at one another.

Ultimately, we’ll see how they do when we present our full review tomorrow night.
