‘Bones’ season 10, episode 2 preview: A message from the dead

If there is one thing that we can say for sure is coming on Thursday night’s “Bones,” we would say that it is tears, and plenty of them. It is going to be very hard for some of these characters to get past the death of someone beloved, especially the way in which he went out.

What we do know is that in the search for closure Dr. Lance Sweets is still going to do what he can to help, even beyond the grave. In a video over at TVLine, you can see that the character had left behind a series of valuable clues in order to help figure out who was responsible for his death. Not only that, but he makes it clear to Daisy in here just who he wants his unborn child to be named after: Seeley Booth.

Are you getting emotional already after hearing all of this? We definitely would not blame you, given that this is an emotional time for these people. While we expect Sweets to be properly tributed and then sent off on Thursday’s episode, his memory and passing is going to create a gaping hole in the series for quite a while moving forward. After all, this was not a situation where anyone knew that this was coming. The show had kept John Francis Daley’s exit quiet for quite a long time, but given his other professional responsibilities coming up, it should have been one of those things that we all started to see coming.

No matter what, Sweets will always be a part of “Bones” and its history in some form.
