‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 3 preview: James Spader, Megan Boone in ‘Dr. James

Through most of “The Blacklist” season 2, we have seen many a complicated mission. Associates of Berlin have been targeted, and Liz Keen and company have already been through the wringer. There’s also the arrival and capture of Naomi Hyland, which has been made into an interesting long-term plot of its own.

So where does the story go next week? “Dr. James Covington” certainly has a pretty grisly premise from the get-go, and it is probably going to get even crazier when we actually have the chance to watch it. We’re dealing with black market here, bad doctors, and also Reddington in a different position than he’s been as of late.

“When a man is found with his heart cut out, Agents Keen (Megan Boone) and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) team up with agent Samar Navabi (Mozhan Marno) to uncover the intricacies of Dr. Covington’s (guest star Ron Cephas Jones) black-market operation. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) and his associate try to capitalize on a new opportunity in Indonesia, leaving Reddington in a vulnerable position.”

We should be clear here that we are pretty happy that we got a chance to see Ressler and Liz work so much together tonight, and it seems like that is going to continue into the weeks ahead. With that being said, we not only want more of Liz with Reddington, but also missions that expose the finer workings of that relationship. Hopefully, this story can find a way to provide them properly.
