‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 5, episode 5 preview: First look at ‘King of Norway’
It may be crazy to think about right now, but we are more than halfway through this final season now for “Boardwalk Empire.” Isn’t that a little bit insane to think about? We like to think so. With how slow this story has moved at times, you would really want to see things pick up.
Luckily, it appears as though they may begin to in “King of Normal” next week, given that Nucky, Margaret, and many others are starting to plot ahead. Heck, even Capone is thinking about getting some distance between himself and Chicago. Take a look at the official synopsis below:
“Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) returns to Atlantic City with vengeance on his mind. Concerned about the ongoing threat from Luciano (Vincent Piazza), Nucky (Steve Buscemi) arranges a meeting with Maranzano (Giampiero Judica) in New York. In Chicago, Eli’s (Shea Whigham) reunion with June (Nisi Sturgis) takes an unexpected turn after a dinner party hosted by Van Alden (Michael Shannon) and Sigrid (Christiane Seidel). Capone (Stephen Graham) looks to relocate his operation out of Chicago; Margaret (Kelly Macdonald) completes a deal with Carolyn Rothstein (Shae D’Lyn); Nucky gets bad news from Cuba. In 1897, young Nucky (Marc Pickering) looks to win over Mabel’s father (Burke Moses) while asking for expanded responsibilities as deputy sheriff.”
The character we’re the most worried about now, at least based on this, is Chalky. We figure that Terence Winter will not be so hesitant to kill off some major characters at this point in the story, so why not have this one be it? With that being said, we hope Chalky survives, mostly out of blind personal preference of him being one of our favorite characters.
