‘Doctor Who’ season 8, episode 7 preview: Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman in ‘Kill the Moon’

The latest -Tonight on “Doctor Who,” we probably got the biggest window into the soul of Clara Oswald as we learned that she legitimately loved Danny Pink, and he in turn ended up finding out about the whole operation. These were powerful moments, but what we’ve learned about this series is that they really do not dwell on any one subject for too long.

The next new episode of the show will contain some more Clara shockers, and the title here is “Kill the Moon.” There will be monsters, there will be action, and she may be surprised in a way that she has never been before.

If you want to know some more, then take a look at the official synopsis right now below:

“In the near future, the Doctor and Clara find themselves on a space shuttle making a suicide mission to the Moon. Crash-landing on the lunar surface, they find a mining base full of corpses, vicious spider-like creatures poised to attack, and a terrible dilemma. When Clara turns to the Doctor for help, she gets the shock of her life.”

At the moment, what we do feel is that expectations are going to be more than a little high for this one. We really loved “The Caretaker,” and in between this episode and the recent “Listen,” the show has delivered to us a pair of our favorite episodes of the Steven Moffat – showrunner era. Here’s to hoping that they can keep it up, but we’re a little bit nervous about this one. Why? Let’s just say that we are not much of a fan of spiders.
