‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Kevin McKidd thinks Owen will find love again
Tonight on ABC, “Grey’s Anatomy” is going to be back on the air with its landmark 11th season, and while there are some stories that may shoot out practically from a cannon (see, for example, finding out whether or not Meredith and Derek can overcome some of their problems), there are also others that are going to take a little bit of time.
One of those problems, for example, will be finding out whether or not Owen can actually move forward following his time with Cristina. It was one of those great loves you only have a few times in your life, and even though it didn’t work out, it still feels clear that there was a whole lot of love there. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on the subject, series star Kevin McKidd (Owen) had the following to say:
“It feels like Owen is definitely going to get involved with somebody at some point but he hasn’t yet and we’re on episode five. It feels right to let Owen take a breath. He and Cristina were so intense for so long and she really is the love of his life. He’s burying himself in work and trying to bury his feelings, but they come out. To honor him as a character and to honor the fans of Cristina and Owen, it’s good to give a few.”
We feel like a new romance for Owen would feel right around February or so, especially if it is something that he is initially hesitant to be a part of. It would also be nice to see him be pursued a little, given that he gave so much of himself trying to persuade Cristina, even as late as near the end of season 10, to give their relationship one more go.
