‘The Flash’ spoilers: More on the upcoming ‘Arrow’ crossover, Felicity

The Flash -There are many interesting little components that are going to play into the big “Arrow” crossover with “The Flash” coming up in the eighth episode of both series, but one of the more interesting components out there, at least at the moment, has to come via the character of Felicity Smoak.

Just remember your history here for a moment. This is a woman who got close to Barry Allen during “The Scientist” and “Three Ghosts,” and some of those feelings may still be there now that he is out of a coma. However, she’s also going to have some competition in the form of Iris West, Candice Patton’s character who has been involved in Barry’s life for quite a long time.

If there is some good news to report on this front, though, it is that it seems like the ladies will get along. Speaking to TVLine about her character, Patton had the following to say:

“[Iris West] does have an opinion on Felicity, and it’s all good. She’s a fan of Felicity … I think viewers will be very excited to see Barry stuck between these two women. It’s so good.”

It does feel like it will be tough for Barry and Felicity to be endgame for a number of reasons, starting with the fact that the two are on different shows, and ending with the idea that Felicity also has Oliver Queen, and Barry has Iris.

We’ll start to figure things out when “The Flash” premieres on The CW on Tuesday, October 7, and “Arrow” will air the following day. There will also be many other crossover opportunities beyond this.
