‘Dancing with the Stars’ results: Were Tavis Smiley, Michael Watrip, or Bethany Mota eliminated?

HereTonight marked the second in just a small sampling of “Dancing with the Stars” results shows this season, but going into this episode, we had a pretty steadfast belief about who was going to be in trouble: Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater. The two were at the bottom of the leaderboard, and while he is good for some laughs, he’s not even a Bill Engvall at the moment.

However, you really cannot rule out a shock boot happening early in the season, either. After all, there are a few stars this season who don’t have a whole lot of name recognition, and the following of someone like a Michael or a Tommy Chong may enable them to last a little while longer.

The bottom three tonight, or at least the three left “in jeopardy” at the end of the show, were Tavis Smiley (with Sharna Burgess), Michael and Emma, and Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. Of this group, one Sadie was a real surprise, and she felt almost like just intentional fodder to throw you off the scent of who was really going home.

Seeing Tavis as the next one to go home cannot be something that has your jaw on the ground at all. He was not a well-known commodity to most viewers, Sharna is not the most-popular pro on the show, and his dance was good but not great. Yet, somehow Michael lives to dance another day.
