‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Megan Boone, James Spader in ‘Monarch Douglas Bank’

Tonight on “The Blacklist,” the series returned to some familiar stories, but at the same time opened up some brand-new mythology with Naomi Hyland, and taught us more about who Raymond Reddington really is and has been in the past.

Hopefully, next week’s episode entitled “Monarch Douglas Bank” will continue that trend, and showcase more of what we love about the show, but also something new at the same time. NBC has already released the official synopsis for the hour, and you can check that out below:

“When the Monarch Douglas Bank is robbed, Red (James Spader) seizes the opportunity to try and take the money -laundering bank down. Liz (Megan Boone) questions Red’s intentions as she investigates the crime. Meanwhile, a new member (Mozhan Marno) joins Cooper’s (Harry Lennix) taskforce after impressing everyone on the team. Diego Klatenhoff and Amir Arison also star.”

The big challenge when it comes to the long-term story now with Berlin is that not only does Red have to find Naomi, but he’s not going to have a lot of time in order to do it.

So how will this story of the week ended up becoming implemented into what’s going on with Berlin? While details are sketchy, we would caution you that the show does plan on integrating more of its villains into the larger story, and many of them will be tied to him in some form. We’ll just have to see what it could be here.
