‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Margaret’s interrogation
At the moment, which character on HBO knows less: Jon Snow, or Margaret from “Boardwalk Empire”? This could be a pretty good competition when you start to think about then.
Then again, we have a feeling that Margaret plays the “you know nothing” act a whole lot more than a certain child of Ned Stark does over on “Game of Thrones.” This is a rough world, and feigning ignorance / innocence is just one of many things that you can do in order to survive it.
In this scene below, you can see the Margaret character go through a pretty testy interrogation scene all about Rothstein, who the producers like to remind us died between season 4 and 5 just about every episode. She claims to know nothing about the accounts, the money transfers, or anything else that could land her in trouble. In other words, she does some of the right thing for herself.
What we really hope for from this episode Sunday is simply that it does make a move in the right direction when it comes to upping the ante and the excitement factor. For the first two episodes of the final season, we almost expected HBO to bring us something that had a little bit more of a zing to it than anything that we have witnessed so far. Instead, we’ve had stories that have focused more on the quiet, on Nucky’s attempts at a rightful business, and of some key moments from this past. This may change in the future, but the show is taking its time making that happen.
