‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 1 preview: Eli tries to persuade Alicia

The Good WifeWhile most network shows are waiting until Sunday night to return to the air, that is not happening in the slightest when it comes to “The Good Wife.” This show will air its season 6 premiere following the first episode of “Madam Secretary,” whenever that episode happens to come on. Curse you NFL and your insane schedules!

When this episode does ultimately air on CBS, one of the primary focuses for the story is going to be whether or not Alicia finally gives in and decides to run for State’s Attorney. Eli certainly wants her to, and we have little to no doubt that she would be great in the position. She is smart, capable, and she knows the business inside and out. Thanks to Peter, she is also certainly well-versed already when it comes to politics.

For Alicia, the biggest drawback to running right now is merely that she does not quite know if the political world is right for her. While she brings quite the impressive skill set to the table, she is also very well aware that there are some other things that she lacks. For one, she doesn’t fancy herself a politician, and may not be happy with the bureaucracy that comes along with the position.

As for how long the show will draw this process out, there is really still no telling. We hope, though, that they figure this out one way or another fairly quickly, since the last thing that we’d really want is to be sitting around a few weeks from now still wondering.
