TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3 finale spoilers: Another preview tackles ‘who will die?’ question

Regardless of whether or not you are talking about the original version of “Dallas” or the new adaptation on TNT, one thing remains the same: This series has always had death as one of its central themes. “Who shot JR?” was one of the biggest questions in the history of television, and the actual death of the character during season 2 (following the passing of the great Larry Hagman) remains one of the hardest parts of the show to handle.

Going into Monday’s season 3 finale, the real push for the series seems to be that there are many members of the Ewing family who are candidates to die before the end, but one of them will for sure. Is there really one that is more of a candidate than the other? It all depends on what you look for.

Take, for example, John Ross. It would make sense that this would be a guy who many out there would want dead, but he almost has a cockroach quality to him in that we have a hard time ever envisioning him going anywhere.

Meanwhile, we are more worried for people like Pamela and Ann Ewing. For some reason, we feel like it could be a female character to go this time around, but in the end, it may not matter who. Given the unlikelihood of the show returning for another season right now given the ratings, there may be a certain logic for the show just going for the jugular, and killing off who could be arguably some of the most-important characters.
