‘Ink Master: Rivals’ episode 3 podcast: Jessa, Bart talk Emily Elegado, Jayvo Scott and linework

Ink MasterEmily Elegado has taken “Ink Master: Rivals” by storm and fans are clearly divided about her: They either love her “don’t care” attitude or they can’t stand it, but either way she has the “Ink Master” community talking about her.

This week on the CarterMatt “Ink Master: Rivals” podcast, Jessa and Bart will be talking about Emily and how her ego can sometimes be her best friend (since you need a tough skin to make it through this show) and other times her own worst enemy. Emily is pure entertainment gold! We saw Emily win the flash challenge, then strut around while handing out skulls only to find herself in the bottom against the artist she chose to challenge (Julia).

Another interesting aspect to Emily’s decisions is that she called out Tim as a “scratcher” and told the judges that he was her target, so she put him up against Joshua, because he’s the best in the competition (for linework) and not up against herself. We discuss whether or not making these kinds of remarks in front of the judges are going to hurt her game going forward and if she just helped hand Joshua the prize.

We lost Jayvo this week and the rivalry between him and his brother Robbie (that we were completely invested in) was cut short for us to watch. We will talk about how that was tied up for us as  viewers and whether or not another rivalry will step up and grab us the way that this one did.
