‘The Flash’ spoilers: Another ‘Prison Break’ alum signs up
Who knew that such a big “Prison Break” contingent was coming over to “The Flash”? It’s somewhat surprising, but we’re certainly not going to complain.
Wentworth Miller already has a significant role on the CW series, and we’ve also heard that Robert Knepper is set to reprise his own role as William Tockman a.k.a. Clock King for at least one episode. So what comes next? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dominic Purcell is set to grace the series in the role of Mick Rory, a man who will eventually team up with Miller’s Captain Cold and become the villain Heatwave. Combined, these two could almost be the show’s answer to the Robert Frost poem “Fire and Ice.”
These two characters will be seemingly seen together in the tenth episode of the first season, and all of this is further evidence that this show is really wasting no time at all when it comes to introducing iconic characters from the comics. We’ve probably heard about more DC heroes / villains appearing on this already than we saw on “Arrow” during almost its entire first season. There are obvious villains like the two mentioned, Girder, or potentially even Shrapnel depending on how her story is handled, and then there are also ones that could be a slow burn. We know that Caitlin Snow is an integral part of the series, and we would assume that this would lead to her eventually becoming Killer Frost. The question here really is when that would happen, and what ramifications this would have on Barry Allen and company.
What do you think about both this casting, and also the role of Heatwave coming to “The Flash”? Let us know now in the comments.
