‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: See Elsa prominently in new promo

Ready for more “Once Upon a Time” goodness? Well, ABC has released another teaser promo for the new season, and this one reminds you that next month, “winter is coming early” to Storybrooke. We never thought we’d hear a show be able to use “winter is coming” without making us think of “Game of Thrones,” but these folks come close to pulling it off!

This teaser (per The Hollywood Reporter) is only 30 seconds long, but it effective at promoting what the show really wants to promote right now: “Frozen.” They’re well aware that everyone loves this franchise and the film, and they probably also know that the diehard fans are going to watch. This could be a very interesting development for the show; it could force Regina and Emma to unite despite their differences, and it could create even more trouble for Rumpelstiltskin, given that he is the one who presumably trapped Elsa in the first place.

The one thing that we find completely random / hilarious about this video is seeing most of the fairy-tale characters in their flashback costumes rather than what they actually wear most of the time. Why do this? The only reason we can think is that this is a move for new fans of the show, that way they can easily pinpoint and identify who some of these characters like Prince Charming and the Evil Queen. Everyone else, clearly, is familiar with them by now.

The show returns to ABC on Sunday, September 28, but we will of course have further news before that.
