‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 video: All about the locations
While you may still have more than a month to go until the return of “The Walking Dead” season 5 to television, we do have another video to share with you below that is by and large proof of one thing: The folks over at AMC have no desire to stop promoting this series just yet.
What we like about the latest clip is that it really does take you “behind the curtain” in a way at a part of production you don’t often see: Managing locations. In this video, Location Manager Michael Reilly details just what some of the big problems are with the show this time around, given that you are basically having to try and film in populated areas for the first time in years. (Meaning further proof that the crew will not stay in Terminus forever.)
The last time that “The Walking Dead” was in an urban environment, it was all the way back in season 1, when virtually no one had any real idea whether or not this show was going to be a hit or not. Now, times have clearly changed. There are special accommodations that must be given to ensure that townspeople are not watching and reporting on all of the scenes. Not only that, but you have to make sure that local business are taken care of given that their work is most likely impacted by all of the folks in production who are running around.
The new season starts on October 12, and we’ll just have to wait and see how many city scenes there really are.
