‘Chicago Fire’ season 3 spoilers: One particular ‘Chicago PD’ crossover

We know that one of the reasons why so many love “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD” are the crossovers, and for a variety of different reasons, you’re going to be seeing plenty of them moving forward.

As a matter of fact, we have some of the first news all about one them right now. Per Entertainment Weekly, one upcoming episode is going to see Burgess lend a helping hand to Severide after he goes all out to save a woman following a very dangerous gang-related shooting. As a result of this, these two characters form a tighter bond.

Does this mean that there is a reason to worry about Severide and Lindsay? We’re not willing to go that far just yet, but this is something that you probably want to keep watch on if there are some further crossover events that come up this season.

For those wondering whether or not this article is somehow a spoiler that Severide survives the explosion at the end of season 2 (which is one of the show’s biggest cliffhangers), this is something that had basically been confirmed already. While this will have most definitely been a pretty terrible experience for the character, he’s going to find a way to emerge from this all right.

The new season of “Chicago Fire” will premiere on Tuesday, September 23, and we will eventually have some further scoop on the show. Why the wait now? That mostly ties back to the fact that it is hard to say a whole lot about the story while that explosion still remains a major mystery.
