‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: See Colton Haynes’ Roy in full costume!

“Arrow” season 2 ended with a chance at redemption for Roy Harper, and moving into the show’s upcoming third season, he is finally going to have a chance to fight for the good guys … in a substantial way for a change.

The image below of Colton Haynes’ character in full costume comes to us via Emily Bett Rickards and her Instagram page, and basically makes this character look almost as nonchalant as possible. Is Arsenal getting ready to live-tweet someone taking a picture of him? Oh, the possibilities. (Breaking news: There is a whole lot more of sitting around and waiting in the world of TV production than there is being an actual superhero.)

We gotta give credit where credit’s due: The costume looks pretty sweet, especially for a TV superhero. The show has done a very good job of adapting most of the comic-book heroes in a way that makes them capture the original’s essence, while modernizing them just enough so that they work better in the real world. That is a much more difficult thing to balance out than you would think.

We know that there will specifically be an episode themed around Roy and his journey at some point during season 3, but it may not be until at least episode 6 when it starts to surface. Before that, we have stories centered more around Diggle, Felicity, Malcolm Merlyn, and of course our primary hero in Oliver Queen.
