‘Falling Skies’ season 4 finale spoilers: First look at ‘Space Oddity,’ ‘Shoot the Moon’

Next week, “Falling Skies” returns with two enormous episodes, and the show is also taking a very big risk itself with one simple thing: Airing during Labor Day Weekend. don’t they know that there is a little more competition in that department?

As we near the end of season 4, the one thing that we do know is that the Espheni Power Core is going to be the secret to solving everything … at least for the time being. Lexi is also going to return, presumably with a battle line more drawn than it has ever been before. (Really, it’s about time.) These two episodes together could end up feeling like a movie, and we really hope that there is an ending here that can get us super pumped-up for what will be coming up the rest of the series.

Now, without further ado, let’s go ahead and bring to you (via TNT) the final two synopses for the year.

“Space Oddity” – “Tom’s mission to destroy the Espheni Power Core is complicated by Lexi’s return. Lexi is forced to take extreme measures to save her father’s life – and her own – after a Beamer malfunction. Meanwhile, the 2nd Mass fears an impending Espheni strike by the scorched Overlord.”

“Shoot the Moon” – “With the weight of humanity’s survival on Tom and Lexi’s shoulders, they must defeat Tom’s mortal enemy and find a way to destroy the omnipotent Espheni Power Core. Meanwhile, a new, terrifying Espheni Bomb is dropped onto Chinatown, immobilizing the 2nd Mass and preparing them for Human Skitterizaton.”

Now, we turn it over to you for the time being. Is there anything in particular that you are hoping for from the final episodes of “Falling Skies” this season? Let us know in the comments.
