‘True Blood’ series finale spoilers: One somber Anna Paquin – Sookie photo

Is someone going to die during the “True Blood” finale? While HBO is of course keeping their cards very close to the vest at the moment, one of the images that the network has released for Sunday’s series-ender “Goodbye” certainly should give you a reason to be afraid for at least one character.

Before we say anything else, though, there are obviously some potential spoilers ahead. Even if this was already officially released by the network, it could still be considered a spoiler.

Doesn’t it clearly look like Sookie is on her way to a funeral? Anna Paquin doesn’t just wear black all of the time just for the heck of it, though we do wonder how the world she is able to afford so many nice clothes and heels with the very little working we actually see her do at this point. Given the title of this episode and the buildup, it does seem obvious that someone would die … but it does not necessarily have to be Bill Compton. This could just be a general memorial to everyone who has passed away so far (given that there are so many of them), and Bill could still somehow find a way to survive.

For the time being, our feeling here is pretty simple: So long as the ending is earned and is satisfying, we’re not going to be too picky about anything else. This season has improved after a pretty uneven beginning, so we just hope that it continues to press on forward in the right direction as we near the final bow.
