‘Bachelor in Paradise’ review: Chris Bukowski injured; Marquel Martin, Jackie Parr get close

Even though Monday night’s “Bachelor in Paradise” episode somehow found a way to avoid having craziness in the form of dudes jumping out of windows, it still somehow managed to completely deliver time and time again when it comes to drama. After all, we had “I follow your Instagram” as an icebreaker, Elisa Mosca wanting to be forever with a guy she just met with mountains of baggage, and also constant freakouts about jealousy, dates, and the like.

The favorite romance of the night may actually be Marquel Martin and Jackie Parr, who really hit it off and even kissed; however, Danielle Ronco also dated Marquel earlier, and was none too pleased about any of this. We feel for Danielle that she wanted him to be exclusive with him, but that’s not how this show really works sometimes! You have to find the right person for you versus just one person that you’re hoping you work with.

The elimination of Danielle this week was sad because she just arrived, and then Elise … left. Well, Chris was injured, and she decided to take off with him while still having some crazy visions of their future together. Chris then gave his rose to Michelle Money in what may be the nicest thing that he has done in his entire life. Is Chris’ reputation starting to actually turn around? Well…

A few other little observations this week:

  • Why is Chris Harrison even bothering to dress up for this?
  • Was anyone else somewhat mortified by Chris and Elise stumbling over themselves talking about their night together?
  • Is AshLee the Elaine of bad “Bachelor” dancing?

We’ll have more on this episode tomorrow when we sit down for a podcast! Be on the lookout for that.
