‘True Blood’ season 7, episode 10 (series finale) spoilers: Any Alexander Skarsgard, Tara Buck scenes?

Last night on “True Blood,” the writers presented us with a scene that we were starting to wonder if it would ever make it onto the show at all. After all, Ginger has been wanting to have sex with Eric Northman for a long time, and he finally decided to let her in a rare moment of gratitude for his character.

So what was the immediate reaction of the woman behind the Ginger role to this? Speaking to TVLine, Tara Buck says that doing this entire scene with Alexander Skarsgard was a relief, and also very fun to finally do:

“I felt good! This is a victory for Team Ginger! There was some teasing along the way from the writers that [sex with Eric] might be in Ginger’s future, but I wasn’t really sure if or how it would actually happen. Before I actually saw the script, Alex said to me, ‘Have you read the script? They finally wrote it! We finally do it.’ I was like, ‘We do?’ And he was just laughing. I made him give me a play-by-play of what happens, so I had a little heads-up. The writers are so funny and so creative that nothing quite compares to actually reading the script. There were so many wonderful details; they really covered all the bases.”

As for whether or not she has a ton of story left with Eric in the series finale, Buck claims that this scene on Eric’s throne was “definitely Ginger’s climax — literally.” We’d actually be somewhat surprised if we were to see the character again in the finale, since that felt like a perfect way to end her story, and tie together everything that she has meant to Eric. She got what she has always wanted, and there is no real need for anything else.
