‘Glee’ season 6: Lea Michele now working on second book
Clearly, Chris Colfer is not the only “Glee” star who has developed a bit of a book bug when it comes to getting work out there; his co-star Lea Michele is right up there with him.
In a post on Twitter, Lea confirmed that she is working on another book following the success of her first title Brunette Ambition, which did well enough for her to become a New York Times Bestselling Author. She did not elaborate on if her follow-up was going to be in the same vein as the original, or something else entirely.
What is fairly clear to us is that much of the “Glee” cast right is looking forward just as much as they are getting ready to wrap up the series on Fox. They know that at this time next year, the series will be complete, and they will need to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their careers. For Colfer, he’s clearly got a job as an author firmly squared away, and Lea can be right there, as well, if she keeps this up. Both also could have potential movie and TV deals coming their way depending on the scripts that are out there.
Some stars of the show have already found some other gigs. Kevin McHale is doing some work now over in the United Kingdom, while Harry Shum Jr. was recently cast in the sequel to “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” Who knows? Chord Overstreet could work on some more solo music after the show is over, and Darren Criss really seems set doing something in the industry the moment this ends with all of his connections.
Stay tuned, as we’ll have more “Glee” news soon. For now, be sure to sign up to get some further TV news worth singing about courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter.
