‘Longmire’ season 4 star Katee Sackhoff on those Marvel rumors..

As we’ve said over the past week or so, we’re going to give you updates on what the “Longmire” cast is up to while we await for news on the show’s season 4 renewal … and that takes us today to Katee Sackhoff and the latest rumors about what she could be up to with Marvel.

At the moment, the answer to that is “nothing.” She denied recently on social media that a secret project she has coming up is a product of the comic giant, but she has also not entirely ruled out playing a part in the film franchise of one comes her way. Just take a look at her latest comments per Vulture on the subject while at a recent Liferide event:

“As of this moment, I have not sat down with anybody from Marvel for any role specifically … But that doesn’t necessarily mean that something with Marvel is completely off the table for the future.” 

As for whether or not her playing a role in a Marvel movie would limit her ability to be on “Longmire” in the future, it wouldn’t … provided that the show is picked up for a fourth season. She is under contract still to do more episodes with the show, so if she films anything, it would be either during her time away from the show in the summer or at times she is not needed on the New Mexico set. Plenty of actors have balanced things out, and a great example in the Marvel world right now is James Spader, who balanced his work on “The Blacklist” with doing motion capture and voice work for Ultron in the upcoming “Avengers” sequel.
