‘True Blood’ series finale spoilers: First look at Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin stories

Sunday, August 24 is a date that we may as well start getting drilled into our brain right now. After seven years of crazy entertainment and pushing-the-envelope antics, “True Blood” is set to end its run on HBO.

The series finale actually has a rather happy title in “Thank You,” but who knows if the story is going to end that way at all? There are always chances that characters will die, and also that our jaws will be on the ground by the time the end credits roll. We’re not going to waste a whole lot of time now; instead, why not go ahead and check out the official synopsis below:

Sookie (Anna Paquin) weighs a future with and without Bill (Stephen Moyer). Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) struggle with their uncomfortable partnership with Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee). Sam (Sam Trammell) makes a choice, while Andy (Chris Bauer) comes upon an unexpected inheritance.”

The biggest thing that we can say about this episode right now is just that all of these characters are going to be alive for it. This means that Bill will continue to move onward despite declining the cure; he actually seems content to die for the time being. Could there be anything that changes that?

The one thing that we will say for now is that Sam better have some sort of fitting ending in the next two episodes. After all this character has given us, the show has given him almost nothing for this final run.

What do you think, at least per the synopsis, about the finale? Share your thoughts with a comment.
