Michael C. Hall potentially returning to TV … but not for ‘Dexter’ spin-off

What's next? -Since we would watch Michael C. Hall do anything on TV, whether it is eat a cheeseburger or do the chicken dance for two hours on loop, we are very excited about this news.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former “Dexter”and “Six Feet Under” star has signed on to star and executive producer in “God Fearing Man,” a miniseries from Entertainment One about Herbert Emerson Wilson, a notorious minister-turned safe-cracker and bank robber. This would mark Hall’s first major TV gig since the Showtime drama ended, but based on the fact that this project was originally meant to be a feature film, there is a concrete end to it.

There is no network attached to this just yet, but based on the leading man we’re sure that one will be soon enough. Michael is the sort of man you would want to get on board almost anything.

As for the constant “Dexter” spin-off rumors, we’ve come around on this. We originally felt like the finale was such a disaster that it should never be revisited. However, we now feel like there should be a sort of motivation for all parties involved to have at least some sort of miniseries to give us a better ending, and one that we can actually get behind. Maybe someone manages to coax Dex back to Miami, and in turn he has to really atone for all that transpired rather than running away. We don’t buy the whole “fate worse than death” theory that comes with him getting to start a new life.
