’24’ season 10: When is the earliest Kiefer Sutherland, cast could return?
Want to see more “24” coming up in the future? Well, you better be prepared to be patient.
Let’s start first of all with the good news for all who love the franchise: The odds of it coming back are looking good! According to TVLine, things are promising when it comes to the show eventually coming back for more adventures. The ratings were decent given it airing in the summer and several years after the last season, and the critics for the most part loved the season, and felt it was more a return to the show’s early years.
As for the bad news, don’t expect another season until at least the 2015-16 season. Sources tell the site that Kiefer Sutherland and the producers want to take a break, and make sure they come back when the story is right. This is something that you probably assumed, given that there hasn’t been an official renewal just yet. If nothing else, this news exists mostly for all of you who were hoping somewhere within your heart of hearts that the team would get together and fast-track something. It doesn’t look like things are going to be quite that easy.
The one tricky part of the show waiting that long is that of course the cast members could all in theory go out and find other things to take part in. Then again, it’s not absolutely essential that you have anyone on the show other than Jack Bauer … though we would like to at least have Chloe O’Brian again (and maybe Kate Morgan, since she proved herself worthy of kicking butt and taking names).
We’ll keep our fingers crossed here for more “24,” and we’ll have more news as it comes out.

Hey, we waited, what, 4 years, for Season 9? I can wait a year or so for Season 10. I just want Jack to make it home, alive and well!!!

Do you really? REALLY?
If Jack makes it home again alive and well, then nothing of real note happened.
I want Jack to go through hell and high water, losing loved ones left and right, only slowly and very painfully making any headway until at the bitter end he sacrifices himself to save someone of supreme importance who will save the world even though they’re obviously not morally or ethically as worthy as he is.
The last words the show should be Tony screaming, “Damn it, Jack!”
Beep, beep, beep, beep…
Then…
Beep.

That would be a funny buy terrible ending. I mean it would be the perfect ending, but it would make me so mad… its the cliffhanger that doesn’t have a continuation. I think a more funny ending would be Jack getting ready to kill the world’s top terrorist and he pulls of the ski mask and finds that it is Charles Logan. It’s been eight years since he shot himself and now he’s back to life… not as normal as before.. but he’s back. Then President Heller (formerly) runs in, as he somehow escaped death from Alzheimer’s, and pulls out a gun, shooting Logan in the head. DEAD! BANG! Logan is no more. Then he says, “Die, you SOB. Dammit, Jack, why didn’t you kill him?”
“I’m sorry, Cloe, that’s not good enough! Dammit!”
