‘Halt and Catch Fire’ finale spoilers: Donna evaluates her performance

Is Donna Clark going to be keeping her job at Texas Instruments during the “Halt and Catch Fire” season finale? Based on the sneak peek below, it certainly seems doubtful.

What we find the most surprising during this performance evaluation of hers is just how honest she is about everything, from her near-affair with Hunt to the fact that her work quality was slipping, and she up and left for several days to Las Vegas without really telling anyone.

Then again, maybe this is all just an unfortunate byproduct of where her head is at by the time this story airs. After all, just think about that for a minute. Her relationship with Gordon has almost completely deteriorated, especially now that he knows the truth about her and Hunt. Meanwhile, the stress of the Giant has exhausted her completely.

Still, our level of shock at this scene mostly stems from how hard she worked to keep her job going strong earlier this season, and also the fact that she and Gordon have kids. With his job definitely in a state of instability right now thanks to the arrival of the Macintosh, somebody in this family needs to be making something if they want to have a hope of survival in the slightest.

If nothing else, hopefully this finale will give us a sense of where Donna and Gordon stand, and if there is any hope for those two getting together again in the future.
