‘The Amazing Race: Australia vs. New Zealand’ finally has a premiere date
Who doesn’t love more of “The Amazing Race”? We already have the Canadian version on the air right now, and we’re also pleased to welcome to the mix now the return of the Australian show with a twist: This time out, it is “The Amazing Race: Australia vs. New Zealand.”
We’re coming at this series from a definite outsider’s perspective, at least in that we are neither an Aussie nor a Kiwi. We know little about the rivalry between the two countries, but assume it to be much more intense than the one between the United States and Canada. Giving us five teams from each country should at least be a good chance to meet some of the folks from all over this part of the world.
Now, we also have an official premiere date for the new season: Monday, August 4. It has been a long wait trying to figure out when this show would come back on the air, but it’s almost over. The teams will once again race under the instruction of the awesome Grant Bowler, and only one will win the grand prize.
Are we going to cover the show? It’s a little trickier than most, given that we’re writing from North America, and from where we are, new episodes will air on Seven at around 3:00 in the morning. However, we will find a way to get to the show and publish reviews of them as soon as we can every week. We enjoyed this show even more than the American version the first two seasons, so suffice it to say that expectations are high.
