‘Ink Master: Rivals’: See the premiere date, cast, and more

“Ink Master” is one of those shows that we miss whenever it’s off the air, and for so many reasons. It’s intense, dramatic, and also creative. It basically brings some of the elements you see on a variety of different reality shows, but then adds that extra something to it by giving you creative people with the talent to back up their big personalities.

For season 5, the show is ultimately changing the game in a big way by introducing “Rivals” as a twist. Whether they are siblings, former co-workers, or people that have openly argued with on social media, everyone in the tattoo community has a rival. The only question is how intense those rivalries are, and how far you are willing to go to try to settle the score. You can see all of this in the video below introducing the cast for season 5.

We certainly expect this to be the most intense season of the show to date, and there is no way it could not be when you consider this twist. Usually, the contestants have to develop their rivalry for each other over the course of the season; here, it’s already built-in by the time these people get to the show.

Host Dave Navarro is back once again alongside judges Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck, and there will be celebrity guests including Joe Manganiello, Tommy Montoya and DeAngelo Williams. As for the premiere date, think Tuesday, September 2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. Before that happens, we know that Jessa and Bart are going to come back with a preview podcast; that’s not coming up in the immediate future, but look for it closer to the premiere date.
