‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: No decision on Chris Soules, Arie Luyendyk Jr., Marquel Martin … yet

Well, the official announcement of the next “Bachelor” is something that you’re going to have to wait around for a little while longer.

Much as we predicted a little earlier in the day, there was no decision made between Chris Soules, Arie Luyendyk Jr., Marquel Martin, or any other candidate for the role during the event. When Michelle Money asked an “impromptu” question to Chris Harrison about who it could be, Chris’ name started to chant throughout the crowd. (We would’ve been screaming “Marquel” at the top of our lungs.) Unfortunately for these desperate attendees, Harrison said that the announcement would come on some other night.

As for when we think that other night will be, our easy guess to that right now is the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale. It’s either going to be that, or some other night during the season. ABC is well aware of the value of this announcement, and they don’t want to do anything at all to put themselves in jeopardy of not getting ratings for their new show. They already know that people are watching the finale tonight regardless.

In the end, we do think that this was all a massive ploy to get more publicity for the show. Chris is the frontrunner, and we really don’t think that they needed the extra time to make the decision between the “candidates” that are out there.
