‘Halt and Catch Fire’ finale spoilers: Can Gordon, Joe find success in ‘1984’?

It was only nine weeks ago that we were first introduced to the excellent AMC series entitled “Halt and Catch Fire,” and now we are looking through the lens of what is the show’s season 1 finale with no sense of its future just yet. We know that we love the show and Lee Pace’s performance in it. We want to see it come back, but the ball’s ultimately going to be in AMC’s court here. At least the buzz has maintained, and there is a loyal following all around it.

What we can share with your right now is just a tiny synopsis of what is coming up … but it may be enough to still leave you excited:

“Gordon and Joe prepare to transport the Giant; a suspicious defect causes a rift in the partnership.”

This is something we’ve been saying when it comes to this show for a while, but still feel like it rings true right now: The biggest struggle for this show is going to be trying to bridge that gap between fiction and reality, and just how successful you can make a guy like Joe MacMillan. This is something that we wondered for a while when it came to Don Draper on “Mad Men,” or some of these other characters in historical fiction. You can make them successful, but how successful can you make them? If you do too much here, it could change the entire course of history. We’re interested in seeing how everything happens within this last episode.
