‘The Last Ship’ episode 7 preview: What happens in ‘SOS’

What is coming up on “The Last Ship” moving forward? It’s crazy enough to think that we are now a decent ways past halfway through the season, and that there are still some pretty important stories left to be told. One of them is entitled “SOS,” and will air on TNT next week. Just in case you’re wondering what the most-important storyline is going to be for the show, let’s just say that this one is going to push Chandler (Eric Dane) to the brink. He has to figure out how in the world to save himself after he and Tex are both lost in the middle of the ocean. How exactly did this happen? We cannot give you all of the official details just yet, but you can see at least a few of them over in the official synopsis below:

“A distress call near Jamaica is received. Chandler and a small team stage a rescue mission, only to fall victim to a surprise attack that leaves Chandler and Tex stranded at sea.”

At the moment, we’re at least pleased to say that this sounds very exciting, even if it is dangerous. We are somewhat worried about whether or not the show can keep these sort of exciting plots going every week, but we like the road this is going down. We’ve got a new test for each one of the characters every week, and something that makes them prove their mettle. In season 2, we don’t know if some of these more-isolated stories would work, but we’re happy at least that they are there for the time being as a way to get to know the characters further.
