‘The Walking Dead’ season 5: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, and more Comic-Con highlights

Rick -Want to watch the “Walking Dead” panel at Comic-Con in all of its glory? Even though you may not have been able to be in attendance inside the massive Hall H (which contained many people waiting overnight just to get a sense of the action), you can still see the entire discussion below.

There were many great moments from the panel, and not just the ones that were shown off in that official trailer that came out from AMC during the day yesterday. For one, you’re going to see Andrew Lincoln get to play a much more relentless and violent Rick Grimes than we saw in season 4. He’s somehow managed to get some more energy and vigor about himself despite spending so much time in a train car, and will be able to go more into zombie-killing-machine-mode.

This is in contrast to Norman Reedus’ Daryl, at least in the sense that he has been in zombie-killing-machine-mode sense the very beginning of the show. Norman joked at the panel that he was mostly just happy and surprised to still be there, given that he originally thought that he was going to be dying within the first few episodes of the show. We don’t know if this was necessarily the plan like it was with Jesse in “Breaking Bad,” or this was just paranoia on Norman’s part.

Some other good moments from the panel including Robert Kirkman dishing about the character,s and moderating Chris Hardwick trying to deliver some flowers to Melissa McBride. We personally wonder how many times people go up to her saying “look at the flowers” at this point after what transpired during “The Grove,” which is in our mind the greatest episode of the show to date.
