‘Longmire’ season 3, episode 9 spoilers: Fear Branch in ‘Counting Coup’

Just in case you did not have enough evidence previously that Branch on “Longmire” is a bad / confused man who means serious business, the first photo that we have for you hear from Monday’s “Counting Coup” should be all the proof that you need.

Our first simple question is this: Why in the world does a man need a gun this big? Also, why in the world is he pointing it at someone from this short a distance? We’re no expert on firearms, but it doesn’t seem like this is a particularly smart idea for him for a variety of different reasons. Nonetheless, there is Branch in one of the saddest convenience stores ever, further proving that his quest for vengeance has basically turned him into a real-life crazy supervillain.

Can he be stopped, and can the old Branch ever come back? It’s hard to know the answer to either one of these questions right now, but we at least know that Walt will now be on the case. After debating for the past few weeks as to whether or not she should say anything, Vic finally realized that keeping Branch’s actions from Walt was much more harm than good. She spilled the beans finally on what he has been up to, and thanks to that he is much more prepared to handle what lies ahead with him.

The only unfortunate thing is that Walt’s also got a lot of other things on his plate. Buffalo, Wyoming always seems to have a lot going on considering the population of the region, and there’s also the issue of his wife’s death that will be at least addressed again before the season ends.
