‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5 spoilers: Another ‘Lost’ alum revisits Hawaii

In between “Once Upon a Time” and “Hawaii Five-0,” much of the “Lost” cast is still keeping busy following their time on the ABC show.

The latest name to add to this list on the latter crime show is William Mapother, who you may know from playing Ethan in early episodes of “Lost.” According to Entertainment Weekly, he will be heading to Hawaii for an episode as Eric Porter, a successful and likable business owner who somehow manages to get himself tangled up in a messy situation. Who is going to be there to rescue them? It’s pretty hard to figure that it will be someone from the Five-0!

EW also claims that this is the whopping ninth former “Lost” star to grace this show, as he joins Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn, Jorge Garcia, Henry Ian Cusick, Sam Anderson, Tania Raymonde and François Chau. Dae Kim has been a regular on the show since the very beginning, while Garcia is now officially a regular after making some guest appearances in the past.

Production on season 5 is currently underway for the show in Hawaii, and the challenge for this series remains the same: How to keep it fresh, and how to ensure that these stories are more than just a standard cop show with a Hawaii setting. This is something that there has been some trouble with in the past. Still, there were certain parts of season 4 that we really loved, in between the Fan Built Five-0 contest that was set up and some of the individual performances by the guest stars. Hopefully, we can add this one to the list.
